Explore Raleigh

Most Raleigh hotels cluster downtown along Fayetteville Street and the convention center, with a second hub in North Hills and near NC State. Whether you're here for a Hurricanes game, a show at Red Hat Amphitheater, or a visit to the Triangle's universities, you'll find an easygoing city about 20 minutes from Raleigh-Durham International (RDU).

The State Capitol anchors downtown, surrounded by free museums, the North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences and the Museum of History among them. Glenwood South and the Warehouse District fill in the evenings with rooftop bars, breweries, and some of the best barbecue and Southern cooking in the state.

Raleigh is also a gateway to the rest of the Triangle. Durham and Chapel Hill, home to Duke and UNC, are about 30 minutes away, and the North Carolina Museum of Art's outdoor park on the city's west side makes an easy half-day escape.
